Dodamsambong and Seokmun
📍 매포읍 삼봉로, Danyang
Dodamsambong is a scenic site where three peaks rise side by side from the middle of the Namhan River, and it's counted as the first of Danyang's Eight Scenic Views. The landform in the middle of the river is said to have been shaped by long-term erosion.
The center peak has a pavilion called Samdojeong, and the view has long been famous enough to appear in the poems and paintings of several Joseon-era writers. It's designated both as a National Scenic Site and as part of a national geopark. Dodamsambong is also often introduced as Danyang's signature landscape.
