EasyTicket Pyochungsa

Pyochungsa is a thousand-year-old temple said to have been founded by the eminent Silla monk Wonhyo. It sits at the foot of Jaeyaksan, surrounded by valleys and forest. Two streams, Ongnyudongcheon and Geumgangdongcheon, flow down on either side of the temple and merge at Sijeoncheon.
The water is clear and cool, making it a popular summer retreat, and the thick tree cover offers welcome shade from the heat. A hiking trail past Heungnyong Falls and Cheungcheung Falls also runs alongside the valley, so you can enjoy a walk and a hike in one trip.

Useful tips
- The valley water runs fairly cold, so it's great for dipping your feet in summer and perfect for cooling off.
- The hiking course leading to Heungnyong Falls and Cheungcheung Falls is best walked with plenty of time to spare.
- There's a campground downstream in the valley, making it a good option for a family day trip too.
