Dongmak Makguksu
📍 신기면, Samcheok
This makguksu restaurant sits along the road to Hwanseon Cave and Daegeum Cave, and it's a certified 'Hundred-Year Store' designated by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups. It has held its ground as a classic Gangwon mountain-village restaurant serving makguksu noodles alongside boiled pork.
It's conveniently located for a hearty meal before or after visiting the caves. Note that there's an afternoon break time, so it's best to plan your visit around it in advance. Going with a group works well too, since there's plenty of makguksu and boiled pork to share.
