Kkotji Beach

📍 안면읍 승언리, Taean

Kkotji Beach photo

Kkotji Beach is Taean's signature beach, with a 5 km-long stretch of white sand and the facing Halbae and Halmae Rocks standing like symbols of the shore. The beach is said to have earned the pretty name Kkotji from the rugosa roses that once bloomed across the sand.

A legend of a couple connected to Jang Bogo of the Silla period is tied to the two rocks, and at low tide you can see them connected by a sandbar. The sunset beyond the rocks is beautiful, drawing visitors year-round.
