Kim Kwang-seok Street

This street beside Bangcheon Market in Daebong-dong has alley walls decorated around the life and songs of Kim Kwang-seok. It began taking shape in 2010 as part of an effort to revive the market, with several artists participating, and murals, sculptures, and song lyrics continue along a stretch of just over 350m.

The alley itself is short, so even at a slow pace you can see it all in about 30 minutes. Cafes, restaurants, and small goods shops are tucked in between, making it natural to browse with breaks along the way. Since it's attached to Bangcheon Market, it's easy to pair with market snacks, and if you go in the quieter morning, you can take photos of the murals without crowds blocking them.
