Seomun Market Night Market

Seomun Market is one of Daegu's major markets, with roots going back to the Joseon era, and textiles and clothing such as silk goods and fabrics still make up its biggest share. Separate from the regular daytime market, a night market sets up stalls along a 350 m stretch inside the market in the evening.

There are about 80 stalls, 65 of them food stalls. Daegu foods like makchang (grilled pork intestines) and leaf-shaped dumplings mix with street food from around the world, like lobster with cheese and pad thai, so you'll end up sampling a little of everything. The night market opens only on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evenings and is closed Monday through Thursday.
