Gochang Eupseong (Moyangseong Fortress)
📍 고창읍 읍내리, Gochang
Gochang Eupseong (Moyangseong Fortress) is a Joseon-era fortress with its walls still relatively intact. The path along the perimeter is well maintained, so a full loop is manageable.
From the fortress wall, you can look down over the town and surrounding fields, and restored government-office buildings stand inside. It is also known for the local custom of walking around the fortress with a stone balanced on your head.
