Saseongam Hermitage
📍 문척면 오산, Gurye
Saseongam is a hermitage perched atop Osan, a short distance south of Gurye-eup. It's said to take its name — meaning 'hermitage of the four sages' — from four renowned monks, including the Venerable Wonhyo and State Preceptor Doseon, who are said to have practiced here.
Standing at Yaksajeon Hall, tucked among sheer cliffs, opens up a sweeping view over Gurye's fields, the Seomjin River, and the ridgeline of Jirisan. Parking space is limited, so many visitors walk up or take the village bus.
