Gyochon Village is a neighborhood that grew from the site of Silla's Gukhak, the national academy, and it still has Choe Bu-ja's House, Gyeongju Hyanggyo (Confucian School), and hanok buildings. There are no set viewing hours or admission fees, so you can walk the alleys freely, and hanbok rental shops are clustered in front of the village square and around Hwangnidan-gil.
The standard course is to rent a hanbok and take photos with Choe Bu-ja's House, Gyeongju Hyanggyo, and Woljeonggyo Bridge as backdrops. Woljeonggyo Bridge is open from 9 AM to 10 PM, and its lights make daytime and nighttime photos feel different. Wolseong Palace Site, Gyerim Forest, and Cheomseongdae Observatory continue beside the village, so you can keep walking in hanbok.
