Scissors Museum (Northern Maisan)
📍 진안읍 마이산로, Jinan
The Scissors Museum is a distinctive museum displaying some 1,600 scissors collected from around the world, located on Maisan-ro in Jinan-eup. It is introduced as a specialized museum rarely seen in Korea.
It is said the museum was inspired by Goryeo-period iron scissors found in the area before it was submerged by construction of Yongdam Dam. Displays are arranged by floor, separating Western, Eastern, and everyday scissors. You can also see specialized scissors for medical use, hairdressing, and beauty work.
