Imjingak Peace Land

📍 문산읍, Paju

Imjingak Peace Land photo

Imjingak is a leading peace-themed tourist destination that embodies the pain of the Korean War and national division. It preserves an old train that once ran to Sinuiju, along with several war memorials. The Mangbaedan Memorial Altar, where people bow in remembrance of family left behind in the North, is also located here.

From the Grass Hill and Wind Hill at Peace Nuri Park, you can take in sweeping views of the Imjin River area, and riding the Peace Gondola lets you look down over the Civilian Control Line from the sky. It's a unification and security tourism site that draws large numbers of domestic and international visitors every year.
