Hyangsu Garden

📍 해미면 관터로, Seosan

Hyangsu Garden photo

Hyangsu Garden is a barley-rice set-meal restaurant about a 5-minute walk from Haemi Eupseong. Opened in 1995 by a local family, it still runs with the feel of a private home.

Its signature is a barley-rice set meal made with doenjang (soybean paste) and gochujang (red chili paste) fermented in-house from native soybeans grown around Seosan and Taean, served with roughly ten kinds of leafy wraps and seasoned vegetable side dishes. It's also close to Haemi IC, making it an easy stop on the way in or out.

Useful tips

  • The wrap greens come generously, so try mixing the rice with gochujang and wrapping it in the greens.
  • Stop by before or after seeing Haemi Eupseong; it's close enough to walk, so the route works well.
  • It can get busy at lunchtime, so it's better to arrive a little early.
