Hyowon Park Wolhwawon Garden

📍 인계동, Suwon

Hyowon Park Wolhwawon Garden photo

Wolhwawon is a traditional Cantonese-style Chinese garden located inside Hyowon Park, created following a 2003 agreement between Gyeonggi-do and Guangdong Province, China. Construction was completed and it officially opened in April 2006.

The garden is laid out so that the interiors of the buildings are visible from various points, and the rear garden features an artificial pond and a rockery hill built up from earth. The traditional Guangdong-style architecture, built with white plaster and blue brick, is also worth a closer look.
