Yeongdeok Haemaji Park: Changpomal Lighthouse
📍 영덕읍 창포리, Yeongdeok
Yeongdeok Haemaji Park is a nature park built along the 64km coastal road between Ganggu-myeon and Chuksan-myeon. The site, damaged by a fire in 1997, was restored using eco-friendly materials and designed to bring visitors closer to the sea.
A walking trail made of more than 1,500 wooden steps links a pergola, the coastal road, and the sea, and two observation decks offer sweeping views of the East Sea. The park's landmark, Changpomal Lighthouse, is well known for its shape resembling a snow crab's claw.
