The 2026 Hapcheon Ghost Park runs for 17 days, from July 31 to August 16, at the Hapcheon Image Theme Park, daily from 6 PM to 11:30 PM. Booking works through a single official reservation site (ghost.hcjypark.com), where you sign up for membership and then pick a date. This article lays out the booking process built around a day-trip route: sightseeing in Hapcheon during the day, then heading into Ghost Park at night.

📌 2026 Ghost Park: Dates and Operating Hours First

This year’s festival is called ‘2026 Hapcheon Ghost Park Masquerade.’ The biggest change is the format itself: visitors now become masked ‘Hunters’ who search for clues and complete missions scattered around the festival grounds, in a more immersive style than before.

Since operations start at 6 PM, your entire daytime is left open. When planning your Hapcheon trip, it’s easiest to lock this in first and build the rest of your schedule around it. I redrew my route a few times with a map open, and keeping the daytime plans within the theme park’s radius, then heading back in for the evening, turned out to be the simplest way to move around.

🎫 Where Do You Book Hapcheon Ghost Park Tickets?

There’s only one official booking site. You browse the program and zone details on the festival’s official website (hcgfest.com), then click through to the linked reservation site to actually complete payment.

Booking Steps

  • Click ‘Go to Booking’ on the festival’s official website
  • Sign up for a membership on the booking site, then log in (there’s no guest-checkout option)
  • Pick your visit date on the calendar — remaining capacity is shown alongside each date
  • Choose your ticket category, then pay
  • After paying, check your booking under the ‘Booking Confirmation’ menu; to make changes, cancel and rebook

You can see the price for each ticket category on the booking screen once you select a date. The public information page doesn’t post a separate price list, so if you want to know the cost ahead of time, calling the booking/refund inquiry number is the most reliable way to check.

🕒 Planning a Day Trip: Daytime Theme Park + Nighttime Ghost Park

The heart of this itinerary is using the same location twice — once during the day and again at night. By day, it’s the Hapcheon Image Theme Park, where you stroll through street sets recreating the 1920s-1980s; by night, those same sets become the horror festival grounds. That said, the tickets are completely separate.

Admission to the daytime theme park is 5,000 KRW for general visitors, 3,000 KRW for children and teens, and 2,000 KRW for those 65 and older, people with disabilities, and Agent Orange victims (Source: Korea Tourism Organization’s Open Tourism). Children age 6 and under, people with severe disabilities, basic livelihood recipients, and people of national merit, among others, get in free.

👻 Preview Zones A-D and Plan Your Route

The festival grounds are divided into four zones by intensity and layout. If someone in your group finds intense scares overwhelming, starting at Zone D to ease in and working backward looks like a reasonable option too.

  • Zone A — the walk-through Murder Mall, and the story-driven attraction Train to Hapcheon
  • Zone B — Prison of the Dead, Jiangshi Inn, the participatory Dracula’s Mansion (mask-making), and Nightmare Classroom
  • Zone C — the prop-filled Anatomy Lab, and the exploration mission Prison of Vengeful Spirits
  • Zone D — horror stage shows and magic performances, ghost costume and makeup experiences, and the Dokkaebi (goblin) shop

Side events include a mask night market and an ‘Eerie Playground.’ Personally, I’d skip the crowds that pile into Zone A right at entry, do the makeup experience in Zone D first, and then work through Zones A to C once it’s gotten dark.

🅿️ Parking and Directions: Check Before You Book

Parking is available at the theme park’s parking lot. There are 2 accessible parking spaces in front of Gaho Station, and the public restroom at the parking lot includes an accessible restroom.

The walking paths mix dirt, gravel, and sloped sections. Visibility drops further at night, so avoid heeled shoes, and if you’re bringing a wheelchair or stroller, it’s best to have a companion along.

Be sure to check the refund policy before you book, too.

  • No refunds once 1 hour has passed since entry
  • If it rains (5mm or more of rainfall by KMA standards) and you cancel within 1 hour of entry, you get a 50% refund
  • Refunds are processed within 1-3 days for card payments; cash refunds go out the following Thursday
  • Same-day tickets are valid only on the day of purchase (they can’t be carried over to a different date)

❓ Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Can I visit Ghost Park if I go on a Monday?

Ghost Park operates every day from July 31 to August 16. However, the daytime Image Theme Park is closed every Monday (or the following day if Monday is a public holiday), so if you go on a Monday, you’ll have no daytime itinerary. If you’re planning to combine day and night, it’s best to avoid Mondays.

If I bought a daytime theme park ticket, can I just walk into Ghost Park at night?

No. The daytime tour and Ghost Park require separate tickets. The daytime last-entry time is 5 PM, and Ghost Park starts at 6 PM, so the two don’t even overlap in time.

What happens if it rains?

If it rains 5mm or more by KMA standards and you’re within 1 hour of entry, you can get a 50% refund. Since it’s set on an outdoor lot, bringing a raincoat and a spare pair of socks will save you a lot of discomfort.

Can I just buy a ticket on-site the day of, without booking ahead?

The official channel is the online booking site. The booking screen shows remaining capacity as a number for each date, so you can check how much is left the day before your visit and decide from there. The weekend around Liberation Day (August 15) is a period when spots fill up fast, so it’s safer to book ahead for that stretch.

Who do I contact with questions?

For booking and refunds, call 010-4008-6199 (9 AM-6 PM, lunch break 12-1 PM); for general event questions, call 010-5102-1950. For questions about the daytime Image Theme Park, call 055-930-8633.

Since the schedule wraps up at 11:30 PM, factoring in your trip home makes the whole day feel a lot less rushed. It’s not too late to just lock in your date on the booking screen first and figure out the daytime itinerary afterward.
