Trega Museum Guesthouse

📍 Jeonju · ★ 4.4 (23 reviews)

Trega Museum Guesthouse Exterior

Trega Museum Guesthouse is a small hanok stay right beside Jeonju Hanok Village. True to the name, old objects sit in every room, and several reviews call the carefully tended interior lovely.

Children aren't accepted, so the whole building stays quiet — it suits solo or two-person trips especially well. Small rooms come up consistently, though, so know that in advance if you're packing heavy.

What guests like

  • Attentive service

A friendly host is the most common praise — reaching out the day before check-in, or bringing over a blanket late at night.

  • Quiet atmosphere

With no children accepted, the whole building was quiet, and several reviews found that stillness a comfort.

  • Warm ondol floor

Reviews repeat that the floor was genuinely warm and the temperature was set just right in chilly weather.

  • Clean bedding

One review slept soundly thanks to clean bedding, and another found the room and bathroom very tidy.

  • Walk to the hanok village

The hanok village is right nearby and walkable, and Jaman Mural Village connects on foot too.

  • Simple Breakfast

A small cafeteria with toast, fruit and coffee makes for a light start to the morning.

Good to know

  • Soundproofing

Several reviews say you can hear the next room because it's a converted house, and one found the soundproofing especially weak at weekends.

  • Small rooms

Rooms are around 10㎡, right for two adults at most, and reviews repeatedly call them too tight to open a suitcase.

  • Getting to parking

Parking is a little way off and the road out front is a one-lane, one-way street, so one review found arriving by car a hassle.

Recommended for

The rooms aren't big, but old objects and small antiques give an unmistakable sense of staying in a hanok. One review found sleeping on a floor mattress more comfortable than expected, and warm floors come up several times. Some missed having a TV, so it suits a quiet rest best.

Trega Museum Guesthouse Bathroom

One review liked that every room has its own bathroom, so there's no need to step outside. Others mention water splashing in the tight space and a distinctive smell since it adjoins the room, so it's best to temper expectations.

Breakfast & dining

Mornings bring toast, fruit and coffee in a small cafeteria for a light bite. Rather than a hearty breakfast, it's more a place to take the edge off before a morning walk through the hanok village.

Because it uses an actual hanok house as it is, one review memorably praised the atmosphere on a rainy day. There's no lift and the road out front is narrow, so first-timers may wander a little finding it.

Location & nearby

Jeonju Hanok Village is right next door, so you can drop your bags and walk straight out. Jaman Mural Village is walkable too, and one review says nearby restaurants make meals easy.

The bus stop is a little way off, though, so first-time visitors may struggle to find it. With a one-lane one-way street out front and parking a short walk away, it suits public transport and walking better than driving.
