작년에 캐나다 나이아가라폭포뷰 크라운플라자호텔 숙박 경험이 있었습니다. 백년이 넘은 호텔의 역사를 느낄수 있었던 호텔이었는데 캔싱턴설악은 설악산국립공원안에 있는 유일한 호텔로 역사와 전통이 느껴졌던 호텔이었어요. 나이아가라폭포 주변은 호텔은 전세계 사람들이 모여들었는데,, 설악산은 예전의 명성이 퇴색된 인근 숙소들이 폐허처럼 변한 모습에 참 안타끼웠어요. 캔싱턴 호텔은 오래 되었지만 비교적 관리가 잘 되었다고 봐요. 이틀내내 비가 와서 충분히 경치를 즐기지 못하고 케이블카도 못타고 가지만 다시 와보고 싶다는생각이 들 정도 입니디.…

오래된 숙소라서 외관은 별로였으나 내부 리모델링으로 엔틱한 분위기로 바뀌어 좋았습니다. 아들은 약간 해리포터 마법학교 느낌이 난다고 했어요. 설악산 케이블카 주차장 바로 아래라서 체크아웃 후 걸어서 케이블카 타러갔습니다. 눈 덮힌 설악산 뷰가 너무 좋았습니다. 방 테라스에서 아침에 찍은 사진 첨부합니다.

2시 라운지바 외부 테이블에서의 식사는 최고 였오요 남편을 배려해 가장 좋은 자리로 배려해주고 매너 좋은 직원덕분에 도착하자마자 브런치 좋았어요 3시쯤 프런트 추천으로 흔들바위만 가려다가 무작정 올라간 울산바위는 천국과 지옥을 편도선 등산 9시 저녁식사 후 신랑이 열이 많이닜는대 상비약은 없고 프런트 직원이 얼음 배게와 타월을 가져다 주심 덕분에 아침엔 편한 조식을 먹고 이미지가 좋았다 여행은 그런것 같다. 어떤 이미지가 남느냐 하는거.. 1박 여행은 충분했다.캔싱턴 스따 ~~~~호텔 시그니처 짱 ~!!!

설악산소공원 가까이에 위치해있어서 걸어가기 편했디는 게 가장 큰 장점이었습니다. 그리고 산 속의 유럽풍 인테리어가 마치 스위스에 온 것 같았습니다. 밥도 맛있고 애들이 보드게임도 빌랴서 히고 시내가기도 편하고 이래저래 좋았습니다

생각 이상으로 너무 아름답고 좋았습니다. 특히 조식뷰가 너무 좋았습니다. 뷰가 좋은 순서대로 안내해 주기때문에 조식 시간에 맞춰 가시는걸 추천드립니다. 방 인테리어도 고풍스럽고 유럽느낌나고 이불도 푹신하고 따뜻하고 좋았어요! 직원분들도 한분한분 너무 친절하게 잘 응대해주셨습니다 다음에는 부모님 모시고 오고 싶어요!

뷰와 사진 스팟 맛집이예요. 그리고 설악산 갈때는 숙소에서 바로 갔다 올수 있어서 편해요. 대신 좀 편의 시설이 별로 없어요. 식당도 하나 공사 중이라 2개만 운영하고 있어서 좀 불편해요.
