Gugil Ttaro Gukbap

This ttaro-gukbap restaurant opened in 1946 and is now run by the third generation. The name ttaro-gukbap comes from the way the soup is made with beef, seonji, green onions, and chili-powder seasoning in beef bone broth, while the rice is served separately rather than mixed into the soup.

This dish is one of Daegu's 10 Tastes, and the restaurant is introduced as a Daegu City-certified local specialty restaurant. It's open 24 hours, so you can go early in the morning or late at night, and it usually closes only on major holidays themselves. Between Dongseong-ro and Daegu Station, it's easy to add before or after a downtown itinerary, and the seating is fairly spacious at around 150 seats.
