EasyTicket Gwanbangjerim Grove
📍 담양읍 객사리, Damyang
Gwanbangjerim is a forest planted to protect the embankment of Damyang Stream, with muku, zelkova, and hackberry trees over 300 years old lining a 1.2km stretch. It began during the Joseon dynasty, when an embankment was built and trees planted to hold back floods.
The shade from this old-growth forest makes it a popular summer retreat, and the riverside path is a favorite date-course pick for walking. Its value has been recognized with designation as a Natural Monument.
