The Garden of Morning Calm
📍 상면 수목원로, Gapyeong
The Garden of Morning Calm is a horticultural arboretum that opened in 1996 against the backdrop of Mt. Chungnyeongsan. Twenty gardens, each with its own theme, are woven tightly together through lawns, flower beds, and walking trails.
The Hagyeong Garden, shaped like the Korean Peninsula and decorated with flowers, is especially eye-catching. You can encounter around 5,000 plant species in all, including plants from Mt. Baekdusan, and in winter, it lights up with a dazzling night display known as the Ossaek Starlight Garden.
