Mogok Bambeol Recreation Area
📍 서면 모곡리, Hongcheon
Mogok Bambeol Recreation Area is a riverside park along the Hongcheon River, with a wide beach of pebbles mixed with silvery sand. The sand is so fine and clean that the spot is also nicknamed Mogok Myeongsasimni, literally 'Mogok's long stretch of shimmering sand.'
The water is shallow, so kids can play in it without worry, and a grove of chestnut and poplar trees provides cool shade. It's also widely known as a free, open-land campsite, so it's popular with people who enjoy car camping or tent camping.
