Palbongsan Tourist Site
📍 서면 팔봉리, Hongcheon
Palbongsan is an eight-peak mountain wrapped on three sides by the Hongcheon River, ranked among Korea's 100 Famous Mountains and considered the top pick among Hongcheon's 9 Scenic Views. At just 327.4 m above sea level, it isn't tall, but the trail winds between striking rock formations and cliffs, making for a short hike that's still full of character.
In spring and fall, it draws plenty of hikers, while in summer, it's popular with vacationers enjoying the water and rafting along the riverbank. There's also a campground with 39 deck sites and 3 ground sites, so many people stay overnight to camp as well.
