Maze Land

📍 구좌읍 평대리, Eastern Jeju

Maze Land photo

This theme park has three mazes built around Jeju's symbols of rock, wind, and women - the so-called three abundances. Together the mazes stretch 5 km, and each has a different difficulty level, so you naturally take them on in order.

The Stone Maze, built with stacked basalt and volcanic scoria, is the hardest. The Wind Maze is planted with arborvitae, and the Women Maze with sasanqua camellias and Leyland cypress; in winter, the camellias in the Women Maze bloom red.

Indoors, the Maze Puzzle Museum displays the history of mazes and related artifacts, while outdoors there are stone statues based on Jeju legends. A full circuit takes about 1 hour 30 minutes to 2 hours.

Useful tips

  • If you get lost, keep one hand on the wall and follow it - you'll eventually find your way out.
  • The Stone Maze is the hardest, so it's easier to start with the Wind Maze and Women Maze.
  • Doing all of them takes 1 hour 30 minutes to 2 hours, so give yourself plenty of time.
  • Some sections have little shade, so bring a hat and water in summer.
  • Bijarim Forest is only a few minutes away by car, so it's easy to pair them on the same day.

Frequently asked questions

Is it fun for adults too?

All three mazes are difficult enough that you really have to find your way through, so even adults stay engaged. The Stone Maze is especially disorienting because the walls are high.
