EasyTicket Gyeonggijeon Shrine

This shrine hall housed the royal portrait of King Taejo Yi Seong-gye and was used for ancestral rites; it is designated as a Historic Site. It burned down during the Jeongyu War and was rebuilt in 1614, and still stands in the middle of Jeonju Hanok Village.
Along the path from Hongsalmun Gate to the main hall, stone walls, a bamboo grove, and old pine trees appear one after another. At the Royal Portrait Museum inside the grounds, you can also see artifacts such as King Taejo's royal portrait and the palanquin used to transport the portrait.
One admission ticket includes the museum, and Jeondong Cathedral is just across the street. Many visitors rent hanbok from nearby shops and take photos against the boundary wall.
