EasyTicket Jinjuseong Fortress & Chokseongnu

Jinjuseong Fortress was called Geoyeolseong during the Three Kingdoms period and Chokseokseong during Goryeo, before taking its current name in the Joseon dynasty. It served as a gateway defense against Japanese forces during the Imjin War, and the decisive victory at the First Battle of Jinju in 1592 is counted among the three great victories of the Imjin War.
In the Second Battle of 1593, civilians, officials, and soldiers fought to the end and were all martyred, and this is also said to be the place where Nongae embraced a Japanese general and leapt with him into the Nam River. Inside the fortress you'll find Chokseongnu Pavilion, Jinju National Museum, and Uigisa Shrine, letting you take in Jinju's history while looking out over the Nam River.
