📍 대안동, Jinju

Opened in 1884, Jinju Jungang Market is a traditional market with 140 years of history. Beneath its 980 m retractable arcade, the market is divided into hanbok and fabric shops, a food alley, and a produce and seafood section. On the second floor is the Bidan-gil Youth Mall, opened by a group of young merchants, where cafes, craft studios, and restaurants mix together.

Nongae Market continues under the same roof, with Noodle Road, a lane of noodle shops, letting you go back and forth between the two markets to eat. You can try a wide range of Jinju's signature foods here — yukjeon (beef pancakes), Jinju bibimbap, and Korean street snacks — making it popular with locals as well as travelers.
