EasyTicket Jukgyegugok Valley

Jukgyegugok is a valley in Baejeom-ri, Sunheung-myeon, where the Jukgyecheon Stream — which rises on Sobaeksan — winds through nine scenic bends. The late-Goryeo writer An Chuk composed his verse Jukgyebyeolgok here, and later Ju Se-bung and Yi Hwang also enjoyed the scenery and left poems of their own.
The roughly 2km trail runs through all nine bends starting from Geumdangbanseok rock, though today only the names of the 1st, 2nd, 4th, 5th, and 9th bends survive. Follow the valley upstream and you'll also come to Choamsa, a small temple dating back to the Silla era.

Useful tips
- Mornings are especially refreshing for walking to the sound of running water.
- The trail continues upstream all the way to Choamsa, so allow yourself plenty of time.
- When the stream runs high in summer, the path can get slippery, so watch your footing.
