EasyTicket Byeongsan Seowon

Byeongsan Seowon traces its roots to Punghak Seodang, a study hall where Confucian students from the Pungsan area gathered to study in the mid-Goryeo period. It was later relocated to its present site in Byeongsan in 1575 on the recommendation of Ryu Seong-ryong (pen name Seoae), taking on the name Byeongsan Seowon.
It's one of just forty-seven seowon (Confucian academies) left standing after Heungseon Daewongun's 1868 order to abolish them, and it's also designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Climb up to Mandaeru Pavilion and the cliff view facing the Nakdonggang River unfolds before you.
