The pavilion on the hill north of Lake Gyeongpo is Gyeongpodae Pavilion, and the long sandy beach stretching east across the lake is Gyeongpo Beach. First built during the reign of King Chungsuk of Goryeo, Gyeongpodae was later relocated and repaired, with detailed records preserved; it is designated a Treasure and stands six bays across the front and five bays deep.
Inside the pavilion, the walls hold several plaques worth reading one by one, including a poem by King Sukjong, a piece said to have been written by Yi I (Yulgok) around age 10, and writings left by Joseon literati. From the wooden floor, the lake, pine grove, and sea appear layered one behind another, and descending the hill leads to Gyeongpo Beach, with its 1.8 km stretch of sand.
