Muju Wild Grape Wine Cave

📍 적상면, Muju

Muju Wild Grape Wine Cave photo

This cave in Muju uses a tunnel originally drilled for excavation work during construction of a pumped-storage power plant between 1988 and 1995. In 2007, Muju County leased it and renovated it into a wine cellar.

Thanks to its dark interior and steady temperature, it is described as well suited for aging and storing wild grape wine. Free tastings and wine foot-bath experiences are also said to be offered. Set on the slopes of Jeoksangsan Mountain, it also lets you enjoy the surrounding scenery.
