Ganggu Port Snow Crab Street is Yeongdeok's signature snow-crab food street, with restaurants lining nearly 3km. Every year, from late fall through the following spring's crab season, fishing boats crowd into this harbor.
The classic route is well known: pick your own snow crab at a ground-floor stall, then have it steamed upstairs at a nearby restaurant. During crab season, the Yeongdeok Snow Crab Festival is also held around Ganggu Port, drawing bigger crowds than usual and giving the whole street a lively buzz.
