Incheon Day-Trip Route at a Glance

If you’re a commuter setting out from Seoul, the key is to ride Subway Line 1 straight to Incheon Station. Exit 1 opens right onto the entrance to Chinatown, and from the same spot you can also board the Wolmi Sea Train to Wolmido — which is why it makes sense to cover the morning here. In the afternoon, transfer to Incheon Line 1 or the Suin-Bundang Line and wrap up the day in Songdo.

From central Seoul, it’s about 1 hour 10 minutes to Incheon Station. If you’re riding AREX (the Airport Railroad), you can transfer to Incheon Line 1 at Geomam or Gyeyang Station and do the route in reverse, starting from Songdo instead.

Chinatown — Where Jajangmyeon Was Born

Operating hours are 10:00–18:00 daily in the off-season (Nov–Mar), extending to 10:00–21:00 on weekends in peak season (Apr–Oct). Even without riding the train, it’s great to walk along Wolmi Culture Street by the sea and enjoy grilled shellfish and a ride on the “disco pang-pang” — a spinning carnival platform with a DJ. Time it right and you’ll catch the sunset over the waters off Incheon as a bonus.

Songdo — Wrapping Up with City Views at Central Park

In the afternoon, switch gears completely and head to Songdo.
