Pyeongsari Choi Chamnyeong's House

📍 악양면 평사리, Hadong

Pyeongsari Choi Chamnyeong's House photo

Pyeongsari Choi Champan House is a hanok complex recreating the setting of Park Gyeong-ri's novel Land (Toji), built on a site overlooking the Pyeongsari fields in Agyang-myeon. Walking through it feels like stepping straight into the world of the novel.

The wide courtyard lined with tile-roofed houses makes a great backdrop for hanbok photos. From the hill, the Pyeongsari fields spread out below, with rice paddies that change color with the seasons.

Useful tips

  • The hanok courtyard and the pavilion on the hill are great spots for photos with the Pyeongsari fields in the background.
  • Renting a hanbok to wear as you look around suits the old house's atmosphere even better.
  • The fields look different in green summer and golden autumn, so check operating hours on official channels.
