Hanguk-jip

This Jeonju bibimbap restaurant opened in 1952 and is now in its third generation. It is on Eojin-gil inside Hanok Village, has been designated a "Hundred-Year Store" by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, and has appeared in the Michelin Guide for multiple years.

Its signature dishes are Jeonju bibimbap served in a brass bowl and bibimbap topped with yukhoe (Korean beef tartare). It comes with bean sprout soup and several namul side dishes, so the spread feels close to a full table setting.

Since it is within walking distance of Gyeonggijeon Shrine and the center of Hanok Village, it is easy to slot in as a meal during sightseeing. Lines tend to form at meal times, so it is better to go slightly off-peak.
