This neighborhood sits on a hill across one main road from Jeonju Hanok Village. It began as a village where Korean War refugees gathered to live, and became known in 2012 when murals were painted on around 40 alley houses.
Flowers, fairy-tale scenes, and landscape-like images continue from wall to wall, so the mood changes each time you turn into another alley. Climb a little higher and you'll also find spots overlooking downtown Jeonju.
Cross the Omok pedestrian overpass and you're right at the village entrance, making it easy to add to a Hanok Village itinerary. People actually live here, so keep your voice down and avoid entering private property.
