Sokcho Museum & Displaced Civilians Folk Village

📍 신흥2길, Sokcho

Sokcho Museum & Displaced Civilians Folk Village photo

Sokcho City Museum covers both the everyday history of the region and the story of how displaced families from the North settled here. Its exhibits center on how people who came south after the Korean War built their community.

An outdoor area recreating old houses adjoins the museum, so you naturally continue walking after the indoor exhibits. Stopping here before visiting Abai Village or riding the gaetbae rope ferry helps explain how that neighborhood came to be.
